Pack Activities

At the heart of Scouting are hands-on, interactive activities.  In Cub Scouts, there are opportunities to spend time as a family and to do things that help build upon the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Pack and Den Meetings

In den meetings and pack meetings, Cub Scouts make new friends, play purposeful games, and learn new things.  Dens usually meet two times a month. All the dens in the pack come together once a month for a pack meeting.

Camping and Outdoor Adventures

Cub Scout families have opportunities to go camping and to participate in outdoor adventures.  Lessons learned in the out-of- doors help to develop a life-long respect for the environment.

Special Events

Pack 1601 has planned events and activities such as banquets, the pinewood derby and boat races. We also have other special events like bowling, laser tag and professional sporting team events.

Scout Me In!

In Scouting, boys and girls start with their best right now selves and grow into their very best future selves. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life.

Community Service Projects

While a Scout should do his best to help other people every day, a group service project is a bigger way to help people. While you’re giving service, you’re learning to work together with others to do something that’s good for your community.

Scouting for Food

Scouting for Food is an annual food drive sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America. It is part of our program that emphasizes our slogan “Do a Good Turn Daily”. Since 1988, Scouts nationwide, have participated in this effort.

Trash the Trash Day

Scouts Trash the Trash Day is an international Messengers of Peace project for Scouts around the world, where each Scout is challenged to bring a friend or family member along and pick up at least 2 pounds of trash each on the first Saturday in May.
